The present breed of successful directors in Mollywood like Siddhique, Lal, Rafi-Mecartin, and co and their most associates consider senior director Fazil as their dearest mentor, who passed to them the secrets behind creating success formula in Mollywood. Anyhow one among them, actor- director and producer Lal is now going to offer a big tribute to Fazil. And for that he has already signed Fazil's actor son Fahad Fazil (Shanu) to take the lead role in the new project 'Tournament'.

The young actor who has shown plenty of promise with his first few movies like 'Kaiyethum Doorathu' to the recent 'Pramani' and ‘Kerala Cafe', will thus get a good chance to prove his potential as an actor of caliber.

’Tournament' which is a road movie will be a comedy thriller with Lal once again scripting the movie. The flick will also feature a bunch of youngsters in other pivotal roles. The movie will be a Christmas release from Lal productions.
